Privacy Policy
What happens to what you send us through the enquiry form and the newsletter, what Google Analytics records as you browse, and the terms that come with them.
The enquiry form
One form for three kinds of enquiry — a project, a job, or anything else — and you choose which at the second step. Sending it starts a conversation and nothing more: it is not an offer, not an acceptance, and it forms no contract between you and BUNQ LABS. Any engagement between us begins with a signed agreement, and nothing said here changes that.
Applying for a role, the same holds: sending the form is not an application we have accepted, and it puts neither of us under any obligation. The form asks for a link rather than a file, so if you would rather attach a CV or a portfolio, write to careers@bunqlabs.com instead.
What we collect
Your name and email address, and your phone number and how you found us if you choose to give them. Then whichever of the three the enquiry is: for a project, your company, the budget band you chose, the kinds of work you ticked and your message; for a job, the role you are after, the link you gave us and your message; for anything else, your message. That is the whole of it — there are no other fields, and we do not enrich what you send with data from anywhere else.
How it reaches us
When you press Send, your answers go over an encrypted connection straight to BUNQ LABS' own enquiry system, where they are stored for us to read. Nothing is sent before you press Send, and nothing you type is kept in your browser.
To keep automated spam out, the form uses Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that a real person is sending it. To do that Google collects information about your device and how you use the page, under its own Privacy Policy and Terms. Google does not receive your answers to the form.
How we use it
To read your enquiry and reply to it. We do not sell your details, we do not share them with anyone outside BUNQ LABS except the providers that host the systems we store them on, and we do not add you to a mailing list. If we want to send you anything else, we will ask first.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to 24 months so we can pick up a conversation where it left off, then deleted. If the enquiry becomes a project, the relevant records are kept for as long as the engagement and our legal obligations require.
The newsletter
The newsletter is separate from the enquiry form, and sending an enquiry never signs you up to it. Its sign-up, at the foot of every page and on Insights, asks for your email address alone; with it we note which of those sign-ups you used, and nothing more.
Your address goes over an encrypted connection to BUNQ LABS' own system, and nothing is subscribed until you confirm it: we email you a link, and you are on the list only once you click it. From then on, you get an email when we publish a new article. We do not sell your address, and we use it for nothing else.
Every email carries a link to unsubscribe, and once you do, we will not email you again. You can also ask us to delete your address altogether, as under Your rights.
Google Analytics
To see which pages are read and how people find the site, every page uses Google Analytics. As you browse, it records the address and title of each page you view (with the code in a newsletter email's link removed first), what your browser and device tell any website, such as their type, screen size and language, and where your visit came from. Google works out a rough location from your connection; it says Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses.
It sets two cookies in your browser, _ga and _ga_X85J9Z9J3E, so it can tell one visit from another. They last up to two years unless you clear them. We read its reports in aggregate, and they do not tell us who you are. Google handles the data under its own Privacy Policy, and explains how it uses information from sites like this one.
To keep your visits out of it, block or clear cookies in your browser, or install Google's opt-out add-on.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to projects@bunqlabs.com and we will act on it.
What you send us
Please do not send confidential material through the enquiry form. We will treat what you tell us with discretion, but a first enquiry is not covered by a confidentiality agreement, and we take on no obligation of confidence over unsolicited ideas. If something needs protecting, tell us and we will put an NDA in place before you send it.
We work with more than one client in a sector. Nothing here stops us taking on similar work, and an enquiry does not reserve our time or create exclusivity.
Replies
We read everything and answer what we can take on, usually within five working days. We are not able to reply to every enquiry, and no reply does not imply any judgement about your project.
Changes
These terms may change. The version shown here, dated above, is the one that applies today.
